The CISSS des Laurentides obtains Healthy Enterprise certification

The Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) des Laurentides announced that it has obtained its Healthy Enterprise certification. It thus becomes an organization recognized for setting up initiatives having a significant impact on the mobilization, health and well-being of the staff in its employ.

This success represents a big step forward for the CISSS, which is delighted to see the culmination of this process started in 2016 and supervised by the Bureau de normalization du Québec (BNQ).

Focusing on the prevention and promotion of practices favorable to health and well-being in the workplace, the Healthy Enterprise standard focuses on four spheres of activity: Lifestyle (physical activities, healthy eating, smoking prevention , stress management, etc.), management practices (recognition, change management, support for work teams and others.), work-life balance (work-life balance, employee assistance program , support in the workplace) and the work environment (ergonomics, identification of risks, arrangement favorable to healthy lifestyles, rest and socialization area, practices for returning to work after a prolonged absence.)

Last December, during the virtual audit of the entire process, the BNQ auditors notably emphasized that management and managers are making efforts to promote the health and well-being of members of the organization, despite the challenges related to the context of the current pandemic.

“This Healthy Enterprise certification confirms all the work accomplished to date. I remain convinced that the importance given to this approach represents an asset for our organization, by making it possible to promote the health and well-being of our employees and, by the same token, by positioning us as an employer of choice. I can only applaud this excellent news, particularly during this period of upheaval, when we all need to take care of ourselves,” announced the President and CEO of the CISSS des Laurentides, Ms. Rosemonde Landry.
