The City rewards the efforts of horticulture enthusiasts
Once again this year, the City of Lorraine held its Horticultural Beautification Contest which encourages citizens to participate in the enhancement of the municipality. Through a random draw, which took place on August 22, the City rewarded six winners with gift certificates worth $100 each, redeemable at the Dion Garden Center in Sainte- Therese.

The municipal councillors Mr. Pierre Barrette and Mrs. Diane D. Lavallée went to meet the winners to give them their prize.
The green thumb winners were Lucie Roy and Pierre Martel from 15, place de Laferté, Lorraine Dupont from 26, place de Couvonges, Kathryne and Philippe Bourgeois from 36, boulevard René d’Anjou, Na Gao from 21, chemin de Bayon, Jacinthe Gagnon from 9, boulevard de Reims and Nicole Lauzon from 202-105, chemin de la Grande Côte
“It is a great pleasure to underline all the work carried out by the horticultural enthusiasts who, year after year, embellish and flower their properties during the hot season. The quality of life in our community is the result of everyone’s contribution, and the beauty of our city owes a great deal to the care that the people of Lorraine take in creating and maintaining their horticultural areas. », said the mayor of Lorraine, Mr. Jean Comtois.
These amateur gardeners were invited by the City of Lorraine to submit their application by sending photos of their front yard landscaping to the City.
