In the weekly statement published by the CISSS des Laurentides on November 5, Saint-Jérôme had the highest number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, and a similar report of three other cities in the Laurentians with regard to the number of active cases.
In detail the results were, 924 cases since the start of the pandemic, Saint-Jérôme was ahead of Blainville (768), Saint-Eustache (689), Mirabel (643), Sainte-Thérèse (471) and Boisbriand (435).
In terms of active cases, Sainte-Thérèse has the most counting 48 infected residents, just ahead of Saint-Jérôme, at 47, as well as Blainville and Boisbriand, with 46 each.
Saint-Eustache, which has presented the most active cases in the Laurentians over the past two weeks, comes behind the others with 38 cases, ahead of Mirabel, at 35.
Regarding the active cases, it is the MRC Thérèse-de Blainville, which once again has the highest total, with 171, far ahead of the MRC de la Rivière-du-Nord, with 71, the MRC Deux-Montagnes, with 53 (we were at 73 on October 29), and the MRC de Mirabel (a city with an MRC), with 35.
As for the total since the start of the pandemic, the MRC Thérèse-de Blainville reached 2,269 last Thursday, the MRC de la Rivière-du -North 1,444 and the MRC of Deux-Montagnes 1,242.
Police: COVID-Teams
The police service now has two pairs of officers assigned to compliance with health instructions related to COVID-19.
The management of the SPVSJ is responding to requests made in this regard by the Ministry of Public Security in order to support public health.
The main tasks of these two COVID-Teams are, we are told, to respond to calls on Covid-19, awareness and prevention work with citizens and traders, target problematic places, strict application of laws and regulations, follow up with various partners, become a reference for all stakeholders working in the field, as well as collaboration, partnership and mutual assistance for all patrollers.
