The report was made by a boater who saw a body floating in the Mille Îles river at around 8:55 a.m

The police officers from the Régie de police Thérèse-De Blainville (RIPTB) opened an investigation last Friday the 29th of May and collaborative work was carried out with the City’s fire safety service de Boisbriand, concerning the discovery of a body in the Mille Îles river in Boisbriand.
The report was made by a boater who saw a body floating in the Mille Îles river at around 8:55 a.m. The assistance of the Fire Safety Service was necessary in order to remove the body from the water, which was a few meters from the shore.
An investigation is underway to try to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of this person, who has not yet been identified. Investigators are in contact with the surrounding police services to establish whether this discovery can be linked to a disappearance file.
