
During last city’s council held on April 6th, the City of Rosemère honoured the six young athletes
that participated at the 44th edition of ‘Jeux du Québec’ in Blainville.
Rosemère mayor Hélène Daneault invited Cassandra Brown (14 years-old Women’s Hockey),
Toby Messier (14 years old Cross country skiing), Tyler Messier (12 years old Cross country skiing),
Emma Robertson (14 years-old Women’s Hockey), Maude Sauvé (14 years-old speed skating)
and Paul Dufresne (12 years-old speed skating) to sign the City’s ‘Golden Book’. Mayor Daneault
underlined the performance of paul Dufresne who won two Bronzer medals at the games. “They
are Rosemère’s Ambassadors”, she said. “Their hard work and their strong character helped to
achieve in the Games. After all lets not forget that Olympians Gaétan Boucher and Sylvie Bernier
started their career in the ‘Jeux du Québec’ “, she continued. “Throughout the region our young
athletes won 17 Gold, 16 Silver and 33 Bronze medals”, she concluded.
